Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month, except for December. The venue is Greasley Sports & Community Centre and meetings commence at 7.15pm. Meetings normally are concluded within 2 hours.
Greasley Sports & Community Centre is located on Dovecote Road (B6010). Entrance to the meeting room is at the left hand end of the elevation facing Dovecote Road. Vehicle parking is at the rear of the building. The location map indicates the access routes and the relationship with Colliers Wood.
Visitors are welcomed. Come along and sample a meeting, you may well find that we have activities that inspire you.
The normal monthly meetings concentrate on arrangements for events and activities, progress on projects, site management topics, policy development, current issues and examination of new proposals. Our April meeting follows on from the annual general meeting at which officers are appointed for the different roles and the chairperson and officers present their annual reports.
2017 AGM
The serving trustees were re-elected to the same positions, excepting for Aileen Fergus who stood down to concentrate on the Community Wheel project and the development of the learning and activity programs. The position of Marketing Officer is unfilled.

Durban House
Apart from a few meetings in 2000, the Friends monthly meetings from 1999 until March 2016, were held at Durban House, Mansfield Road, Eastwood.
This property has an historic relevance to Colliers Wood.
Colliers Wood site occupies a part of the area that was the Moorgreen Colliery deep mine complex. A major coal production unit until it was closed in 1985.
The colliery was developed and run by the Barber Walker Company until it was nationalised. Durban House was the companies Pay Office.
DH Lawrence referred to the colliery, the owners and Durban House in his novels.
