Held on the first Sunday of December.
Santa obliges by visiting a grotto that the Friends provide. To ensure that children enjoy the atmosphere, there is an environmental workshop and a children’s ride. At the workshop, children can be absorbed in making feeders, boxes, or tissue paper covered cane butterflies.
This event coincides with National Tree Dressing Day and we have adopted a Scotts Pine as the sites Christmas tree. Children are encouraged to bring along home made baubles to decorate our tree. To ensure that everyone has the opportunity, baubles are supplied by the Friends for those who forget.
Seasonal stalls, hot refreshments, mince pies and hot chestnuts help parents to enjoy the fun. A choir or band may also be available to entertain.
