🌳 What to see
Around 35 acres of meadows, woodland and grassland to wander, with trails throughout and a large pond. In summer the grassland fills with orchids, butterflies and hunting kestrels.
ABOUT Colliers Wood
From colliery to nature reserve.
Formerly the site of Moorgreen Colliery, Colliers Wood was restored over decades into a rich mosaic of grassland, scrub and developing woodland.
Today it’s a thriving Local Nature Reserve, home to a remarkable variety of wildflowers, butterflies and birds.

Colliers Wood has proudly maintained Green Flag Status since 2008.
